Welcome to the Online Learning Resource that will assist you finding information on your research topic. 

Meet Vuyokazi Kiva-Johnson, the Senior Librarian for the Community of Health Sciences Branch Library. In this short welcoming video (2m:0s) you will find an overview of what to expect in this training resource.

By the end of the six lesson parts, you should be able to:

  1. Understand how to navigate and access the UWC Library website to identify various useful resources and services.
  2. Analyse your research topic and identify the most important keywords/concepts.
  3. Understand how to use search techniques to develop your search strategies.
  4. Navigate and search essential databases for your research.
  5. Identify and evaluate information sources & search results.
  6. Understand why referencing is important and how to reference in your preferred reference style.
