Research articles are mainly published in Research Journals, which are available in print or online. You can find and access suggested online [Insert Subject] journals on the Key Journals tab, above on the right.
It is better to search across many journals using Journal Databases, some are included in the Key Journal Databases tab, above on the extreme right. You can also find and access online [Insert Subject] research articles using the Databases by Discipline option on the library's website.

LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that connects users with library-licensed and open access full text articles. LibKey Nomad is available for Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Vivaldi. When using LibKey Nomad, users are automatically directed to the best available version of an article so there is no need to search multiple places. When the full text is not available you will be provided with options to request the article through InterLibrary Loan (ILL).

Search the online catalogue for all printed journals.
Current printed journals are kept in the Periodical Reading Room on Level 5.
- Older issues are bound, and kept on Level 8
- Journals are shelved alphabetically by title.
- Journals may not be taken out of the library; photocopiers are available in the library.

What is an academic/peer-reviewed article?
Peer-reviewed or academic articles are articles written by academics/experts/researchers on a specific field of study. These articles usually contain a bibliography at the end of the article and information on the author’s academic qualifications and university at the beginning of the article.
