CHELSA/CALICO Service

Access to other Libraries with CALICO/CHELSA Letters
Postgraduate students who wish to use the services and facilities of a university library in their vicinity, may apply for a Letter of Introduction from  Mr Trevor Fortune: tfortune@uwc.ac.za

  • Applications for Letters of Introduction must reach the Librarian at least one week before the intended visit to the guest library.
  • Applications must list the specific libraries that the user wishes to visit (not more than two per application).
  • Letters are valid until the end of the academic year, and are only supplied to distance users with a good borrowing and usage history.
  • Letters of Introduction will be e-mailed directly to the guest library concerned. UWC Library will contact the user to confirm that the letter has been sent.
