A guide to selected resources for Chemistry

Chemistry Resources

American Chemical Society, Chemistry for Life ® ACS Chemistry for life was founded in 1876 and chartered by the U.S. Congress, we are one of the world’s largest scientific organizations with more than 155,000 members in 150 countries. Our mission is to advance the broader chemistry enterprise and its practitioners for the benefit of Earth and its people. Our vision is to improve people’s lives through the transforming power of chemistry.
ChemSpider Linked Data ChemSpider Search and share chemistry, after 175 years our mission is just as relevant and valid; our work today still fulfils the roles undertaken by all four long-established bodies. But we pursue that mission on a scale the first 77 members would find inconceivable. We now have over 54,000 members across the world, an internationally-renowned not-for-profit publishing and knowledge business, and a reputation as an influential champion for the chemical sciences.
Royal Society of Chemistry Royal Society of Chemistry, are proud of their heritage, upon which we build our ambitious future. Read about our 175 years of history and see how we became the world's leading chemistry community.

PubChem PubChem is an open chemistry database at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). “Open” means that you can put your scientific data in PubChem and that others may use it. Since the launch in 2004, PubChem has become a key chemical information resource for scientists, students, and the general public. Each month our website and programmatic services provide data to several million users worldwide.
Cover art Molecular Constructor is a free 3D modeling software for building molecules. Using this application user can design a molecule and optimize its geometry at the same
Molecules App - Science NetLinks Molecules is an application for viewing three-dimensional renderings of molecules and manipulating them using your fingers. You can rotate the molecules by moving your finger across the display, zoom in or out by using two-finger pinch gestures, or pan the molecule by moving two fingers across the screen at once. These structures can be viewed in both ball-and-stick and spacefilling visualization modes.
Organic Nomenclature by Aaron M. Hartel Organic Nomenclature: What's in a name? Your name will be MUD unless you learn how to name organic compounds! Organic Nomenclature will help you master chemical nomenclature. It features clear, concise, interactive lessons on how to name the compounds commonly encountered in an organic chemistry course. Each lesson includes a quiz for you to practice what you've learned and evaluate your level of comprehension.
International Organization for Standardization - Wikipedia

ISO: International Standards is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 165 national standards bodies.

Registration & Logging In - SciFinder Database - LibGuides at University of Toledo Libraries SciFinder, produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), is the most comprehensive database for the chemical literature, searchable by topic, author, substances by name or CAS Registry Number, OR use the editor to draw chemical structures, substructures, or reactions. It's a core research tool for chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, physics, environmental science and other science and engineering disciplines.
The New WIPO Logo WIPO: IP is protected in law by, for example, patentscopyright and trademarks, which enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. By striking the right balance between the interests of innovators and the wider public interest, the IP system aims to foster an environment in which creativity and innovation can flourish.
