Works are considered original when they are created independently by a human author with a minimum of creativity. Independent creation simply means that you create it by yourself, without copying.

This libguide is designed to give a general overview about copyrights law in South Africa. The guide is intended to assist individuals make informed decisions about rights and responsibilities when creating and using copyrighted materials.
