These articles usually contain a bibliography at the end of the article and information on the author’s academic qualifications and university at the beginning of the article. Research in African Literatures Research in African Literatures, founded in 1970, is the premier journal of African literary studies worldwide and provides a forum in English for research on the oral and written literatures of Africa. In addition to thought-provoking essays, reviews of current scholarly books appear in every issue, often presented as critical essays, and a forum offers readers the opportunity to respond to issues raised in articles and book reviews. Medieval & Renaissance Drama in England Medieval and Renaissance Drama in England is an international journal, published annually in hardcover, committed to the publication of essays and reviews relevant to drama and theatre history to 1642. A board of editors drawn from the U.S., Canada, and England insures the quality of materials contained in the journal.
Renaissance Drama Renaissance Drama is dedicated to the investigation of traditional canons of drama and the exploration of the significance of performance in early modern cultures. Each issue presents essays that question or apply newer forms of interpretation to the study of early modern plays, theater, and performance. Articles also address works written in traditions other than the English, the discourses that shaped and were shaped by varied institutions of drama across Europe and beyond, and manifestations of performance and performativity both on and off the theatrical stage.
English Language & Literature Studies English Language and Literature Studies (ELLS) is an international, double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. ELLS is published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education in both print and online versions. ELLS is striving to provide the best platform for researchers and scholars worldwide to exchange their latest findings. Studies in English literature, 1500-1900 Studies in English Literature, 1500-1900 (SEL) focuses on four fields of British Literature which rotate quarterly as follows: Winter-English Renaissance, Spring - Tudor and Stuart Drama, Summer-Restoration and Eighteenth Century, and Autumn - Nineteenth Century. Digital Scholarship in the humanities DSH or Digital Scholarship in the Humanities is an international, peer reviewed journal which publishes original contributions on all aspects of digital scholarship in the Humanities including, but not limited to, the field of what is currently called the Digital Humanities.
The Journal of Literature and Science The JLS is a publication that focuses on academic essays about literature and science. They welcome essays about various forms of literature and art, such as novels, short stories, poetry, drama, visual art, and film. The journal accepts submissions from different periods of literary and artistic history, from the Renaissance to the present day, since the Scientific Revolution. They have a broad definition of "science," including its history, philosophy, and both mainstream and lesser-known sciences. However, they generally don't publish work on the social sciences. The journal is open to essays about the literary and scientific works of any nation or group.
Victorian Review Victorian Review: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Victorian Studies publishes articles in all areas of Victorian studies. Founded in 1972 as the Newsletter of the Victorian Studies Association of Western Canada, it became a refereed peer-reviewed academic journal in 1989. Its current mandate is to publish the best international research in this interdisciplinary field, as well as to provide critical reviews of new books in Victorian studies by experts from around the world.
