Library Training Calendar


The library runs orientation and training sessions on a variety of library topics, including how to use uKwazi, your resource discovery tool. These sessions are usually advertised to the UWC community through Campus Communications. Request for Library Instruction


If you believe that a library instruction session would be beneficial for your class on topics such as Library Orientation, uKwazi, Information Literacy, Digital Literacies, or Research and Reference Support, kindly encourage your lecturer to arrange a session.

To make the request, please share the following online form with your lecturer: https://uwc-ac-za.libwizard.com/f/uwclibrary_training_request

This form will enable them to request library training from the UWC Library.

Interlibrary Loan Request Form

Interlibrary Loan is a service available to UWC staff and students to request material that is not available at our holdings.

Past Exam Papers


You can access previous exam papers by visiting the following link: Exam past papers (primarily exam papers from before the year 2022)

Please be aware that starting from 2022, past exam papers should be accessible through your iKamva course modules. If you cannot find specific exam papers via the provided link, please reach out to your department administrator for assistance.

Please note that memorandums, multiple-choice question papers, and postgraduate exam papers are not available through this resource.

To access the Exam Papers, please use your network login details.

The credentials that you will use for login to your UWC library account or to sign into EZproxy when accessing online journals from off campus, will be the same login details that you use for the iKamva Learning Management System, the Wireless Network (Wi-Fi) or the Virtual Private Network (VPN).

If you experience any problems with your login details, please contact the ICS Helpdesk on 021 959 2000 or the servicedesk@uwc.ac.za.


Students who registered in 2021 and later:

  • Username: student number e.g. 4112117
  • Password: Should contain the prefix !St followed by your ID, or passport number if you’re an international student e.g  !St0201010062087

Students who registered before 2021: 

  • Username: student number e.g. 4112117
  • Password: ID number OR date of birth OR passport number for international students

  • Alternatively, you may reset your password your- self by following the instructions on the page at https://mypassword.uwc.ac.za
  • For assistance with any other access problems, contact the Electronic Resources Librarian, Anne Moon at amoon@uwc.ac.za / 021 959 3016 or your faculty librarian.

NB: Changing your password will change your password for all of the following accounts that you may use; iKamva.uwc.ac.za, uKwazi library account, EZproxy, VPN, Intranet.
