Digital Literacies

This programme aligns with the UWC Library’s Information Literacy objectives and the UWC Graduate Attributes. It comprises of a series of initiatives that seek to develop digital literacies and are targeted at UWC students and staff.

Opportunity to Develop Skills to Thrive in the Digital World of Work and Study!

The goal of the Digital Literacies programme is to expand your digital skills and improve overall confidence online. This will expectantly help you to better connect with people online, access services you need and be more comfortable living and working in our increasingly digital world.

Digital Literacies Training

We invite staff and students to join us for our digital literacies training opportunities, where they can explore new digital applications and tools.

The training is conducted virtually on Wednesdays, between 13h00 and 14h00.

Digital Tips

Subscribe to receive “Digital Tips and Tricks”. This include practical techniques needed for the efficient use of digital technologies to accomplish common everyday workplace tasks.

Digital Quiz Challenge

Take part in our annual, online Quiz, which takes the form of a 30-minute online quiz of 50 multiple choice questions challenging your digital and information literacy skills. 

Watch out for information as to when our next Quiz will take place (TBC).

There are two Takealot vouchers worth R500 up for grabs by our two top performers.
