Preparing for Keyword Searching

1. State your topic as specifically as possible:
Discuss how information communication technology has significantly changed the delivery of higher education in South Africa during the past decade.

2. Identify the main concepts.
Discuss how information communication technology has significantly changed the delivery of higher education in South Africa during the past decade.

 3. Type the keywords, combining them with AND - using Basic Search

                                       
                                             information communication technology AND higher education

4.  If you don’t find enough results, make a list of additional keywords or phrases for each concept.

5.  Add the additional terms using OR and use truncation (*) to pick up different endings using - Advanced Search

   If you have only one search box, use nesting (parentheses) to combine terms: 

information communicat* technolog* AND (tertiary education OR universit* ) AND (South Africa OR Cape Town)
